We are pleased to announce availability of a new publication, In Brief: Substance Use and Suicide: A Nexus Requiring A Public Health Approach.
This publication highlights the relationship between substance use and suicide while discussing the scope of the issue and providing prevention professionals at state and tribal levels with evidence-based programs that address substance use prevention and suicidal ideation. We encourage all Project Officers and CORs to share this resource with their grantees and contacts.
A special thank you goes out to our CMHS colleagues, Dr. Richard McKeon and Eileen Zeller, as well as to the staff of SAMHSA’s Suicide Prevention Resource Center. This product is the result of a collective effort between CSAP and CMHS, and helps to promote program collaboration between the substance misuse prevention and suicide prevention fields.
